Deason Trip Aug 1st 2007

My Girlfriend and I  went on a 4 hour fishing trip with Wes back in August of 2007.  I had brought my Girlfriend, Joy, because she had not been fishing in years and wanted to try it again.  We met him at the Sardis Creek boat ramp loaded up the boat and went fishing.  I must admit I was a little skeptical about our prospects of catching anything that day.  There was no wind and not a cloud in the sky and it was as hot as blue blazes. 

We took off from the boat ramp and Traveled about 10 to 15 minutes to where Wes said he had been catching fish the last few weeks.  Wes setup 5 poles in the water and started watching the depth finder.  Every now and then he would go over to a pole and either reel it in or release some line.  Finally, we had been in this location about 20 minutes, he said “Get Ready” and then it was on.  The rods started bobbing and Joy grabbed the nearest one to her and started reeling.  I grabbed one and started reeling.  Man, these stripers really put on a fight.  I got mine in and released and looked back and Joy was still reeling hers in.  She finally got it in and was so proud of it.  It was the first fish she had caught in nearly 20 years and the first Striper ever.

All told we caught 12 fish that day including one 10 pounder.  Both Joy and I were excited and very pleased with the outcome of the trip.  I highly recommend The Little River Guide Service and will definitely book a trip with them again.
